A child is unique, each with their own special characteristics and needs. As a parent you'll be faces with challenging decisions about your child's development. As most parents will tell you these choices can be difficult.

When you child is diagnosed. with a hearing loss it can be a confusing time , but you're not alone; a great amount of support is available through organisations , groups and networks. These networks can offer you information and advice to help you determine what is best for your individual child's needs. At this time you may have many questions and this DVD will hopefully help in answering them.

Early diagnosis allows you time to find out what is available before a decision is made about which communication option is best for your child. There's no wrong decision, just many options which cater for all types of families and circumstances.  Through taking time to evaluate your options it is possible to make an informed and supported decision that's best for your child and your family.

This process is different for each family.
